Villain's desert lair from Spectre up for sale
Ernst Stavro Blofeld's stunning villa from the latest Bond film, Spectre, is on the market - for £2,806,600. The property, which is in Morocco, isn't packed with shark tanks and rocket launchers, but it does come with six bedrooms, two bathrooms, a smart kitchen, a swimming pool, and a really beautiful view.
Buyers will also be pleased to know it's actually not stuck in the middle of a desert either. The location was created on screen by digital effects: the property is actually surrounded by a lush green garden, and boasts lovely views of the Atlas mountains.
The owners were apparently looking for something that felt like living by the sea - and yet was stone's throw from Marrakesh. They commissioned architect Imad Rhamouni, and he came up with this open-plan and airy design.
The striking design, acres of whiteness, and the angular nature of the building, made it an obvious choice as a Bond lair, but the air conditioned comfort, huge grounds and beautiful swimming pool make it a handy spot for a holiday too.
And while most Bond villains aren't known for rolling their sleeves up and knocking up a tagine for tea, the kitchen provides the new owner with plenty of opportunity to do just that. The only slightly unusual thing with the kitchen is a lack of cupboard doors - so you'll need to invest in some suitably white crockery - and store all the food in the fridge.
The only things that it seems short of are a big white armchair, a cat, and a dastardly plot for world domination - so you'll have to bring those with you.
But what do you think? Would you fancy living there? And is it worth the hefty price tag? Let us know in the comments.
