Kate meets school heads at conference on children's mental health
The Duchess of Cambridge will get involved in discussions with headteachers on what schools can do to tackle mental health problems in young people.
She will attend Place2Be's Headteacher Conference today as it brings together senior leaders from partner schools across England, Scotland and Wales to share ideas and expertise on improving understandings of young people's mental health and helping to build emotional resilience in children.
Today's conference marks the charity's second so far and this year is called My Head is Too Full.
It is especially aimed at school leaders focusing on early intervention in children's mental health and will discuss latest thinking on the role that schools can play in tackling the issue.
The conference will feature presentations from headteachers working in some of the most disadvantaged parts of the UK, alongside experts in child psychology, comments from students at Stewards Academy in Harlow, and a drama on leadership by children from The Crescent Primary School in Croydon.
The event will be hosted by Bank of America Merrill Lynch - Place2Be's charity partner for 2015/16 - in the City of London.
