The English tradition of going to your local pub on a Sunday for a roast dinner and a pint has been a long-held ritual. And it's even better if your local has an outdoor beer garden with a river view, right?

This was the case at the Kirkstall Bridge Inn in Leeds, although on Sunday, November 15th, the 'river view' had encroached on the beer garden.

But at what point would you evacuate a beer garden when floodwaters start to rise: When it reaches your ankles? Shins? Knees?

These two British men stuck around for as long as it took to finish their pints - despite the fact that they were submerged up to their waists.

Leedsbeerfest shared some of them on Twitter and quipped: "Nevermind the weather- @Kirkstallbridge beer garden is open!! Cheers"

Another Twitter user posted an image and noted: "Can we all establish that the pub near where I live has flooded and there's 2 guys drinking a pint like nouts wrong."

The Kirkstall Bridge Inn, the establishment in question, had tweeted earlier that the patio 'was a miss' that day.
