Premier Inn named Britain's best hotel chain

Updated

Budget hotel company Premier Inn has been crowned Britain's best hotel chain in a Which? survey.

The cheap hotel chain was awarded the highest score of 83 per cent, beating off its nearest rival, Radisson Blu Edwardian, by eight per cent.

Which? members and the general public rated hotel brands based on their value for money, customer satisfaction, cleanliness and bed comfort.

Simon Jones, Managing Director of Premier Inn, said: "We're delighted that Which? has highlighted that Premier Inn ticks all of the boxes required to make it as the UK's 'top rated' hotel chain. To have scored top marks across so many of the measures is testament to all of our team across our whole business."

Premier Inn has invested £140 million in maintaining and refurbishing its hotels, rolling out luxurious Hypnos beds across all hotels.

The announcement adds to what has already been a successful year for the UK brand, where earlier this year, over 80 per cent of Premier Inn hotels also achieved a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.

According to the Daily Mirror, Britannia was named the worst hotel chain with a score of 39 per cent in the poll.

Which? said: "Our hotel chains survey shows that there can be a big difference in the quality between companies, and that isn't necessarily down to how much you pay."
