Huge rat tries to enter hotel guest's bathroom through toilet

Just when you think it's safe to go to sleep in your cosy hotel room, a rat tries to sneak in through the toilet.

One man was thoroughly creeped out when he heard scratching coming from the bathroom of his hotel room in America, so he called staff to investigate, reports Yahoo News.

Staff wrenched the toilet from the floor while investigating, and found a huge rat stuck inside the pipes.

Of course, the man took a photo of the incident, and his niece then uploaded it to Imgur.

The picture had the title: "Rats and toilets... I didn't know it could actually happen! One of my biggest fears as a child."

She added: "This was at a hotel my uncle was staying at. In his hotel room he heard scratching in his bathroom."

One Reddit use wrote: "Things are not supposed to just defy the flush, it's not natural."

Another wrote: "This is probably one of my biggest fears. I live near a city and I've seen some squirrel to small dog sized rats up around here when I'm running late at night. I am always scared a rat or mouse will climb up my toilet."
