One Man Won The Lottery After Losing The Lottery

It's pretty difficult to win the jackpot when you lose the lottery, but one man in Virginia Beach managed it.

Rick Kenny is now $100,000 richer after purchasing a losing scratch-off ticket. Still confused? Us too!

Kenny's scratch off ticket in the $100,000 Home Changer game was initially a losing draw, but he didn't drop the ticket in the bin.

Instead he entered in into the $100,000 Home Changer scratcher promotion which is put on by the lottery.

Amazingly that one-time losing ticket then became a winner, raking in a whopping $100,000 jackpot for Kenny.

The ticket was drawn out of 262,000 others and netted Kenny the grand prize.

The retired Navy employee was matter of fact about his win, saying: "You can't win, if you don't play!"

Unfortunately for those living in the UK we recently reported on your own chances of winning big in the National Lottery, and the odds are probably lower than you think.

Changes to the way the lottery is run mean that it's now harder to win the jackpot.

Having said that, it will bode well for those who do eventually have a winning ticket. The decreased chances mean more rollovers, which in turn means bigger jackpots.

The odds of winning will change from roughly one in 14 million to 1 in 45 million.

This means you having more chance of becoming a saint or being killed by a bee than winning the lottery.
