The government is implementing new rules from October 2015, to stamp out smoking in cars where under-18s are travelling as passengers. However, according to new data, drivers say they won't be put off by a fine.
The latest research from financial comparison website money.co.uk, which surveyed 1,000 drivers who smoke in their vehicles, revealed that the proposed penalty may not be severe enough. In fact, 21 per cent of those surveyed claim a £50 fine would not stop them doing it.
