A hotel room with a spectacular view is normally reserved for the luckiest handful of people, who are willing to dig deep into their pockets. But new research has revealed that even bargain hunters can enjoy a stay in one of the world's tallest luxury hotels if they book at the right time.

KAYAK.co.uk analysed its data from the world's highest hotels, looking for the best time to book the cheapest stay and how much you could save if you choose the most affordable month.

A stay in the world's tallest hotel, the JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, can cost £670 a night if you stay in its peak month April. But book in August and you can pay just £144 per night, saving you a huge £3,156 for a week's stay.

In Dubai's seven-star Burj Al Arab, the most expensive time to stay is in December when a room will set you back £2,112 per night. By booking your stay in June, you can spend a night in one of the most luxurious hotels in the world for more than half the price at £1,037 per night.

Of course, there are more affordable tall hotels to choose from. Chicago's Trump International Hotel and Tower costs around £372 per night during its peak month September, but in February the nightly rate drops to an average of £236.
