Their research found that the unfriendliest city in the world is the Russian capital, Moscow, closely followed by Atlantic City in New Jersey.

The rest of the top ten was made up by Marseille, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Las Vegas and Cannes in France.

Amazingly, despite American's friendly reputation, 14 of the cities in the top 30 can be found in the United States and another four of the top 30 are in France.

But just how did Travel and Leisure come to this decision? The list has been compiled based on survey responses from almost 200,000 people who ranked 266 cities on everything from value to their people.
