Two dead after car crashes into house near Doncaster

Two people have died after a car crashed into a house and then burst into flames, police have said.

A third person is being treated in hospital with life-threatening injuries after the incident in Branton, near Doncaster.

South Yorkshire Police said all three of the injured were in the car.

The incident took place at around 12.50pm and emergency services remain at the scene in Poppyfields Way.

Doncaster Road is expected to remain closed for some time while the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service respond to the incident.
