Driver weeps in court following crash that killed pensioner

A driver wept in court after admitting causing the death of a pensioner in a road accident.

Andrew Turner, 52, lost control of his car and careered into a Mercedes in which Geraldine Hodge, 86, was a passenger. One of the tyres on his Volkswagen Golf was so low on tread that the canvas could be seen, Stirling Sheriff Court was told.
