Chloe Wilburn has decided not to follow in the footsteps of former Big Brotherwinners, and try to stretch her 15 minutes of fame into some kind of media career. Instead the 25-year-old Doncaster administrator has gone back to work for a local construction company.

The Doncaster Free Press reported that while she is £116,100 richer, and is in the process of buying a house, she hasn't tried to live the high life on the money, and was back at work within a week. She gave control of her money to her mum - to stop her from wasting it.

She told the Daily Mirror: "I'm not interested in being a celebrity. I had no intention of chasing fame or trying to be a Z-lister when I came out." In fact, she said she missed her daily routine, her work and her colleagues.

She added that she was surprised how many of her fellow housemates hoped to become famous after the show, saying: "I would see being on the show as more of a hindrance to a career then a leg up so I think a lot of them are in for a short, sharp shock."

Big Brother winners

As the years have gone on, Big Brother winners are not the big names they once were. A study by The Sun last year highlighted that the wealthiest winner is still the first one - Craig Philips. He was said to be worth £6.9 million after the former builder became a TV DIY expert. He also wrote an autobiography and built up a property empire.

Only three other Big Brother housemates made the newspaper's list of the 50 richest reality stars, including Imogen Thomas, who appeared on the seventh series and landed a number of modelling contracts and endorsement deals, earning herself an estimated £2.9 million.

Chantelle Houghton also made the list. She took part in Celebrity Big Brother - convincing the other housemates she was a pop star. Her £2.7 million has been earned through her own reality show, a fitness DVD, modelling, and an autobiography.

Way down in 35th place was Brian Dowling - winner of the second series - who is worth £2.5 million after finding fame as a TV presenter.

Sadly, although regular Big Brother star Jade Goody made a £2 million fortune after appearing on the show, at the time of her death in 2009, a huge outstanding tax bill and a number of mortgage payments, left her family with just £400,000.
