Tesco launches 'biggest ever' Clubcard Boost event

Tesco has launched a new summer Clubcard Boost promotion, which it claims is the biggest yet.

Clubcard Boost allows Clubcard cardholders to double up the value of their voucher rewards in certain departments in-store or online. So for every £5 of Clubcard vouchers you can get a £10 Boost Token.

The promotion runs from 3rd August until 13th September.

The departments taking part

Shoppers will be able to use their Clubcard Boost in a range of departments both in-store and online.

You can see a full rundown of where you can shop on the Clubcard website, but here are the main departments you'll be able to choose from.

Tesco says for the first time all departments on Tesco Direct will be eligible for the scheme (apart from products sold by partner retailers). This includes:

DIY & Car Care;
Stationery, Party & Gifts;
Entertainment & Books;
Back to School.

Also everything on F-F.com will be eligible for the promotion including menswear, womenswear, school uniforms and baby clothes.

And you'll also be able to use Boost Tokens at Tesco Opticians online, including contact lenses, prescription glasses and designer sunglasses.

Swapping vouchers

You can swap your vouchers for Boost Tokens to spend in certain departments online or in-store and there's no limit to how many you can use.

But once you've exchanged you won't be able to convert the tokens back into points, so you should pick where you want to spend your Boost wisely.

Shoppers have until 13th September to swap vouchers and redeem them.

Other ways to boost your points

There are plenty of other ways to boost your Clubcard points balance.

For example you could use one of the Tesco Clubcard credit cards. You'll earn five Clubcard points for every £4 you spend in-store or on Tesco Fuel, and one point for every £4 you spend everywhere else. The Tesco Clubcard for Purchases is a good one to go for as it offers 21 months interest-free on shopping.
