Far from pickpocketing on the streets of Victorian London, these juvenile delinquents set their sights rather higher.

Colton Harris-Moore started his life of crime at the tender age of seven. He broke into houses, stole cars and robbed markets in the state of Washington.

After he broke out of a juvenile detention facility, he was able to evade police for over a year by stealing at least two boats and three planes.

In 2009, two girls aged 12 and 14 robbed a bank in Symmes Township, Ohio. They handed the cashier a note demanding money and managed to get away with an undisclosed amount.

Art theft

In 1976, Lauren McCall began stealing paintings from a Philadelphia museum. He was just 16 years old! He sold the paintings at an auction house in New York.

He stole more than $400,000 worth of artwork from the same museum over the course of three years.

Closer to home, in 2002 Bradley Wernham started burgling homes at the age of 11 in Essex. He admitted to over 600 offences, totalling an estimated £1.1 million in stolen items.

In 2009, a group of teens nicknamed the 'Bling Ring' burgled the homes of several celebrities in Los Angeles.

They hit the homes of Paris Hilton, Orlando Bloom, Lindsay Lohan and Megan Fox among others. They collectively stole more than £3 million worth of items.

All but one from this list were caught.
