Two-for-one movies offer returns

Updated

Orange Wednesdays might be a thing of the past, but that doesn't mean it's the end for cut price cinema tickets.

That's because a price comparison site is set to launch its own two-for-one deal, which is handily available on both Tuesday's and Wednesday's.

Comparethemarket.com has announced unveiled 'Meerkat Movies' in partnership with Cinema First, the industry body that represents film distributors and the cinema industry. To qualify, you'll have to purchase a financial product through the site, which gives you 12 months' membership.

"The Meerkat Movies customer rewards programme will be rolled out on the 3rd April with 2 for 1 cinema ticket redemption available across the UK from 7 April via a code on the Meerkat Movies app, which is available to Apple and Android users," the company said in a release.

If you don't fancy waiting until April, Vue cinemas is currently running a two-for-one offer of their own on Wednesdays, with the offer set to expire at the end of March.
