Mercedes C350 plug-in hybrid announced

Though the adoption of electric cars may be slow, the number of hybrids and plug-in hybrids (models that can be plugged into the mains to top up the batteries) is mushrooming rapidly. The latest model to arrive is the Mercedes C350 plug-in hybrid, which features a turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol engine mated to an electric motor.
