E.ON launches cheapest energy tariff

E.ON has hit back at the small providers who have dominated the best buy tables this year by launching a new tariff which is now the cheapest on the market.

This is the first time that one of the 'Big Six' has topped the best buy tables in 2014.

The top tariff

E.ON's new 12-month fixed tariff will cost the average household £965, if they opt for paperless billing (you get a £10 discount if you skip postal bills). That works out £300 a year cheaper than the average energy deal! What's more, you'll earn £20 a year for having both your gas and electricity with E.ON, while you also earn Clubcard points.

And if you change your mind, the exit fee is far cheaper than its competitors at £5 per fuel, compared to £30 per fuel with other suppliers on the market.
