Taking the family on a ski holiday this winter? There are some fantastic new offerings for those looking for child-friendly accommodation in France, the USA and Italy. From opulent new chalets with kids' concierges to skiing and Disney all in one trip, here are three ways to wow the kids this season...





If you want to completely blow the budget...

Head for the French Alps and stay this season's most opulent new chalet in the resort of Megeve with Consensio. Perched on the Jaillet piste, Chalet Mont Blanc boasts ski in ski out access, sleeps 12 adults and four children in seven en-suite bedrooms, and features all of life's necessities including an outdoor heated infinity pool, a calming spa, a home cinema and a helipad, natch. For the little ones, the Consensio Children's Club offers a winter wonderland of spellbinding experiences including pizza making classes, best snowman competitions and create the craziest snow dances. If you want to give the kids the holiday of a lifetime...

Treat the kids to a two-week break America with Scott Dunn, which has launched a two-week family getaway, combining a week's skiing in the family-friendly resort of Utah followed by a week further south at Disney World, Florida. The luxury family holiday promises magic, adventure and plenty of fun. It includes a Wild West experience in the Rockies, a stay at the luxurious Waldorf Astoria in both resorts and the chance to explore the beautiful state of Florida, with plenty of time to sample the theme park rides. The trip costs from £2,280 per person based on a family of four travelling and includes flights, accommodation and private transfers.

If you have teeny tiny children....

When it comes to skiing, the earlier you learn the better. And with that in mind, Club Med Cervinia in Italy is introducing an extra Kids' Club for this season, allowing children as young as three to ski and have ski lessons within the resort. Petit Club Med offers tiny skiers a snow course in the Club Med Snow Garden, where they can learn to ski with instructors, take their first official skiing test and get a medal. There are three kids' clubs for children from two to 17 at the resort, located on the Italian side of the Matterhorn. For the adults, there is a spa by Decleor,restaurants with mountain views, skiing and snowboarding. From £932.50 per adult, on an all-inclusive basis for seven nights with flights from Heathrow.
