Two women rescued from mud in Devon
Emergency services rescued two women who became stuck in mud while walking on the beach in Devon.
The women, in their 40s, got stuck at Crow Point on Saturday afternoon, the North Devon Journal reports.
Police used rope to rescue one woman and her friend who went to help her as she became stuck.
According to the BBC, the women were taken to hospital in case of shock.
In January, a pensioner became stuck in waist-deep mud while walking on Dartmoor in Devon and had to be rescued by helicopter.
The woman, thought to be in her 70s, called emergency services when she became stuck but there was poor phone reception.
