EcoYoga, Ford, Argyll & Bute
A completely sustainable retreat centre set within the rugged but beautiful Scottish countryside, the EcoYoga Centre caters for holidays, retreats and courses throughout the year. The Centre provides delicious organic vegetarian grub and tranquil surroundings as well as the yoga, and with electricity stemming from hydro turbines and solar panels, it's a real get-back-to-nature experience. Hot tubs and 'hideaway' bathing experiences in the great outdoors are on offer between relaxing yoga sessions. A seven-night retreat starts from around £650 per person with your every need catered for.

Thalasso Relaxation, Cyprus
If it's a bit of pampering you're after, the 'Serenity of Cyprus' package at the family-run Anassa hotel in the northwest of the island is an experience guaranteed to leave you relaxed and revitalised. Five-star luxury is combined with Thalassotherapy treatments at the Roman-style spa to help you unwind. And if you tire of the massage, scrubs and wraps, you can opt instead to use the tennis or squash courts, water sports centre, nearby 18-hole golf course (at extra cost), or simply relax in an infinity pool overlooking the azure blue of the Med. It doesn't come cheap at around £1,500 for a five-night stay, based on two sharing, but you certainly won't regret it.

Weight loss retreat, Spain
Give your wellbeing a six-day boost with a weight loss retreat at Shanti-Som in Marbella, Spain. If you're struggling to kickstart that slimming regime, the retreat will inspire you with a Nutricoach session, five sessions with a personal trainer, guided walks and yoga classes. Use of the Oriental steam room, sauna, swimming pool and gym, as well as pampering treatments are on offer, and the food is not only delicious but designed to help you shift those excess pounds. Prices start from the £1,599 mark, and the hotel also offers yoga and detox retreats throughout the year.

Wellbeing Booster, Austria
Designed by Wellbeing Escapes, the Wellbeing Booster at Schloss Pichlarn relies on ancient Indian massages and activities in the great Austrian outdoors to give visitors the relaxing time of their lives. After an Ayurvedic consultation, guests can relax with an Abhyanga, Shirodhara or Pada Abhyanga warm oil massage, then choose between a private personal training or yoga session, or Nordic walking, to boost fitness. A gym, tennis courts, spa facilities and group fitness activities are also available, but even a walk in the green hills, wild flower meadows, and the view of snowy mountain peaks is enough to make those tense shoulders drop. A minimum two-night stay comes in at £575 per person.
