Knee-deep hail hits Lisbon in severe storm
A severe hailstorm hit Portugal on Friday sweeping through Lisbon and causing transport disruptions in the city.
Cars and roads were covered and photos were posted online showing workers shovelling the hailstones.
The aftermath of the huge hailstorm was captured on video, with people seen walking through the knee-deep hailstones.
Online users took to forum Godlike Productions and one wrote: "i was just there...roads are closed because of the hail..lived in Lisbon all my life and its the first time something like this happens so much power!"
Another said: "yes, this never happened in Lisbon before..."
