Barbados is a favourite at this time of year: with 10 hours of sunshine per day and temperatures in hovering at just under 30 degrees, it's not surprising that January is peak season on this gorgeous Caribbean isle. You can still get some good deals though - particularly if you are travelling after the New Year break. Florida, too, boasts balmy temperatures and is perfect for fun seekers as well as sun seekers. Closer to home, the Canary Islands and Portugal are a good bet for comfortable temperatures and lovely rays of sunshine.
