Winter fuel payments to expats soar 70%

Winter fuel payments claimed by expats living in mainland Europe soared 70% in the last year. Around £21.4m was claimed in 2012/13 compared to £12.8m. Work and Pensions boss Iain Duncan Smith slammed the new figures as "ridiculous".
