A group of Icelandic folk singers gave commuters a treat at a German train station when they spontaneously burst into song.

The group, Arstidir, performed an Icelandic hymn from the year 1208 called "Heyr, himna smiður" at the station outside the city of Wuppertal.

In the video, Arstidir are watched by train travellers and continue singing through station announcements.

The YouTube video has been watched over 415,000 times since it was uploaded in September.
