The unluckiest flight ever? Friday 13th passengers take 666 to HEL

Have a fear of flying? Look away now! Passengers on Friday 13th were booked on what was dubbed the unluckiest flight ever.

Not only were they flying on Friday the 13th (an unlucky day to travel, if you're superstitious), but they were on Flight 666 (the biblical number for the devil) and their destination was HEL (the airport code for Helsinki).

According to The Associated Press, travellers were not put off and the flight was full.

Finnair pilot, Juha-Pekka Keidasto, who flew the Airbus A320 from Copenhagen to Helsinki, said: "It has been quite a joke among the pilots. I'm not a superstitious man. It's only a coincidence for me."

Meanwhile, KLM did not take any risk with its passengers.

The Huffington Post reports that the airline tweeted it had no row 13 and no route 666 on any of its flights.
