Village raises £114,000 for pub bid

Village residents have given more than £100,000 in recent weeks towards the cost of buying a local pub, with the aim of turning it into a community hub, housing a post office, cafe and accommodation.

Bamford Community Society in the Peak District is looking to raise £320,000 to buy the Anglers Rest, to keep the popular pub in business as well as adding other amenities.
