Can't stop tweeting - even when you're on holiday? Magaluf in Mallorca might be the perfect destination for you as the world's first Twitter-themed hotel has opened in the popular beach resort.

Holidaymakers obsessed with social media are invited to check into the Sol Wave House Hotel in Magaluf and use hashtags to contact staff and interact with other guests.

As a guest you'll log into a virtual Twitter community via the hotel's WiFi and use your own Twitter account and hashtag #hashSocialWave to connect, interact, share photos and even flirt with other guests.

If you need your fridge bar topped up or room service during your 'Twitter Experience', they are arranged by hashtags through the two hotel Twitter concierges. The @SolWaveHouse Twitter page also lets visitors keep an eye on who has checked in.

But rather than being an online experience, the hotel encourages you to interact in real-life and try cool pool sports too.

Sol Wave House Hotel boasts 184 modern suites, a 2,500 square-metre sea-facing VIP terrace, swimming pools, pools with artificial waves to practice flowboarding (a hybrid sport of surfing and snowboarding), Californian-style restaurants, lounges and concert areas for live music.

There are also spacious rooms for up to 4 people with VIP hammocks and a customisable mini bar, plus a free drink in the #hashTwitterPoolParty which happens every Friday at the hotel.

The first Twitter concierge at Sol Wave House told Rex Features: "Our main clients are young and social people, who are always looking for new experiences to share with a growing virtual community. With #hashSocialWave we wanted to meet this aspiration."
