British Transport Police (BTP) is searching for the man who stripped off before urinating in a lift at Prestatyn rail station in Wales.

CCTV footage of the incident on Saturday 4 May has been released in an effort to identify the man.

Investigating officer PC Sean Braithwaite said: "A man was first seen to enter the lift at 2.24am, when he settles down and falls asleep for two hours. Upon awakening, he urinates on the lift floor before stripping off a couple of hours later and urinating again. He leaves the lift, dressed in different clothes, at 6.45am.

"Around half an hour before he leaves, a member of public uses the lift. I can only imagine how unpleasant an experience this must have been for that person."

PC Braithwaite added: "This sort of behaviour is completely unacceptable and makes people feel uncomfortable and unsafe in what is otherwise a very safe environment.

"Anti-social behaviour in any form has a massive impact on those who travel and work on the railway. At best, it can be annoying, but at its worst it can be intimidating and can be the precursor to other crimes.

"The impact of anti-social behaviour should not be underestimated and we take a dim view of anyone whose behaviour has a negative impact on the quality of life of others."
