A pair of security managers at Heathrow Airport have been sacked for reportedly stealing the entrance fee for the VIP lounges used by A-list celebrities.

According to The Sun, the BAA workers also accepted bribes and "gifts" in return for allowing travellers to enter without paying the £1,800 fee.

David Beckham and Rihanna are two of the stars who regularly use the plush suite to avoid crowded arrivals halls and public security checks, although they were not involved in the scam.

The senior managers were sacked following an investigation.

Heathrow offers a VIP service for travellers, where they can bypass the main terminals, relax in their own personal lounges and have check-in and security processes taken care of.
