Video of the day: Trekking Nepal

If you've ever fancied travelling to the Himalayas, widely regarded as the best trekking area in the world, this beautiful video is for you.

Fillmmaker Gerardo Sergovia captures some of amazing footage on what he calls a "trip of a lifetime".

He spent five weeks walking Nepal's famous Annapurna Circuit, a trail that rises to a height of more than 17,700ft.

The Annapurna trail passes through subtropical forests, waterfalls, soaring cliffs, paddy fields and remote villages. If the video inspires you to try it yourself, companies including Exodus and Responsible Travel offer group treks here.
