Celebrated goalkeeper and former England player Peter Shilton has been banned from driving for 20 months after being found with nearly twice the legal alcohol limit in his system.

The ex-England player was sentenced at Colchester Magistrates' Courts where he was also forced to pay a £1,020 fine - one that he requested to pay in instalments due to a 'complicated' financial situation stemming from a recent divorce.
