£8.1bn bonus for Goldman staff

Nearly 6,000 UK employees at US banking giant Goldman Sachs are among staff sharing out 12.9 billion US dollars (£8.1 billion) in pay and bonuses for 2012 after it posted better-than-expected profits.


The total pay package - based on its global headcount of 32,400 - equates to an average of 399,506 US dollars (£249,977) for each of its employees and is 6% higher than in 2011.
