Nissan Leaf sets second record in one year

After setting a World Record for the fastest car to cover 1 mile in reverse at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July, the Nissan Leaf has now set a second World Record, this time at Silverstone.

Although the Leaf is almost completely silent on the move thanks to its electric motor, it wasn't the quietest lap of Silverstone drivers were aiming to achieve. In fact, they were aiming to set the largest parade of electric cars in the world ever, with nearly 300 Leafs in attendance.
