Serena Williams has treated herself to a post-US Open holiday in the Bahamas - and has shared some of her holiday photo album with her fans on Twitter.

The tennis player showed off her extremely curvaceous figure (Kim Kardashian, eat your heart out) in a series of bikini pics tweeted from the Caribbean paradise island.

She's seen walking along the talcum powder-worthy beach in a retro 50s-style bikini, as well as modelling a lion-print swimsuit and fedora hat on a luxurious round day bed.

The mega sports star also uploaded a pic of her sitting by the stunning turquoise sea, and wrote next to the image: "Really bummed I am leaving the Bahamas Albany Resort is#1 missing u already."

Considering her curvy shots, is she making a play on the word "bummed'? Just a thought...

The Albany Resort "community" is an ultra-exclusive spot created by Tavistock Group, Tiger Woods and Ernie Els, made up of a boutique hotel and, ultimately, 350 residences.

Albany is nestled on approximately 600 oceanfront acres on the southwestern end of New Providence in The Bahamas, just five miles and seven minutes from Nassau's international airport.

According to its website, Albany's name is inspired by the historic beachside mansion in the heart of the community that now houses the fine dining restaurant and oceanside lounge. Originally owned by French filmmaker and Inspector Gadget creator Jean Chalopin, Albany House made history as the site of two movies, most notably the James Bond film Casino Royale.

Super-cool facilities include a mega-yacht marina, an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Els himself, a spa and fitness centre, casual and fine dining restaurants, seaside bars, a family water park, a kids' clubhouse and an adult pool and lounge.

A collection of fully furnished three-to-five-bedroom cottages make up Albany's boutique hotel, and, over time, Albany will offer 350 residences that include beachfront, beach club and golf course custom homes, equestrian ranchettes (a mini ranch, we presume?) and luxurious marina residences.

When we win the lottery, perhaps we'll buy one...
