Watch: Swimming pool long jump stunt has painful ending

Apparently, 'Jeremy Chips' is the 'most talented' student at his US high school.

And, to prove it, his friends decided to videotape his attempt to jump across a deep garden pool without falling in.

It might have been quite impressive - if Jeremy hadn't crashed painfully into the bank and fallen backwards into the water.

The clip shows Jeremy running towards the water and leaping into the air, before crashing into the side of the pool and falling back into the water as his concerned friends look on.

Unsurprisingly, the video has already become a YouTube hit, with viewers expressing their surprise that he even made it that far.

But even though he didn't make it, his long jump skills do look quite impressive - although we're not sure that he managed to impress 'the doubters' as he planned.
