Plane makes emergency landing after 'disorderly' passenger praying in aisle

A United Airlines plane was forced to make an emergency landing after a passenger refused to stop praying in the aisle and became disorderly.
The Boeing 757 was escorted by a military fighter jet during the final minutes of its flight from Denver International Airport to Washington Dulles International Airport, according to kktv.com.
The plane landed safely 13 minutes earlier than its scheduled time, after the pilot declared the emergency.
Passengers were able to deplane as usual, except for the man responsible for the disturbance, who was escorted off in handoffs by police, and placed in a police cruiser.
According to kdvr.com, posts on Twitter speculated the man experienced some kind of emotional or mental problem.
Back in March 2012, pilots on an Alaska Airlines plane got a fright and locked down the cockpit after three passengers conducted an elaborate Orthodox Jewish prayer ritual during a Los Angeles-bound flight.
A spokeswoman for the airline said the crew of Flight 241 alerted authorities when the men began the praying ritual, which involved tying leather straps and small wooden boxes to the body.
FBI and customs agents, police and fire crews were waiting at the gate as the plane landed at Los Angeles Intrenational Airport.
No arrests were made.
