Dixons offers Christmas jobs to Comet staff

Some of the 7,000 Comet staff facing the prospect of redundancy have been offered temporary respite by Dixons, which says it will employ hundreds of them over the Christmas period.

The Chief Executive told the BBC he would delay his Christmas recruitment deadlines by a week to allow Comet staff to apply.
