Rare McLaren F1 sells for £3.5 million

The record for most expensive modern supercar ever has just been sold.
The motor in question was a McLaren F1 – for years the world's fastest production car – selling for an amount in "excess of £3.5 million" – three times the price of a brand new Bugatti Veyron.
