A dog has miraculously survived being hit by a car and then travelling at speeds of up to 50mph after getting stuck in the front grate.

The white female poodle mix was hit by the driver of a Toyota in Taunton Massachusetts after running out in front of the car.

The driver reportedly hit the brakes, but did not see the dog, and so continued his journey to Rhode Island, according to the Telegraph.
