Commuters were spluttering over their coffees at Stevenage train station this morning - after spotting a large man wearing just his Y-fronts buying a newspaper on the platform.

According to The Sun, one shocked commuter took to Twitter to share news of the sighting, saying: "Well that was an unusual start to the day: guy coming down the stairs at Stevenage station wearing nothing but his pants.

"Big guy too. Ha!"

According to the Daily Mail, another rush-hour commuter wrote: 'A man standing on the platform at Stevenage train station in only his pants is NOT how Monday should start...'

But, don't fear, the man is thought to have been a prankster, known as "The Budgie Smuggler", from local radio station 106 Jack FM Hertfordshire.

Probably doesn't make those that saw the rather unpleasant sight feel any better, though...
