Is Apple so great if you're outside the US?

OK, so Apple is an American company and the US is a much bigger market than it's going to find elsewhere. So you can understand the organisation's focus being on the home market. But it does leave the question open: is Apple as great a technology company if you don't happen to live in the US of A? Here are some things it could make more global - and reasons we get short shrift over here.
