Video: Tourists' terror as angry hippo charges open-top truck

They're known for their fiery tempers, and one hippo lived up to the animals' reputation after terrifying tourists on safari by charging at their open-top truck.

The angry hippo is seen running towards them, and serves up a ferocious headbutt, leaving someone shouting "Oh s***!".

According to the Daily Mail, the tourist who took the film describes the damage as "piercing a hole in the side of the truck and almost taking a chunk out of my leg!"

The incident took place at the Okavango Delta in Botswana while a group were out on safari.

They definitely look cute, but hippos are among some of the world's most dangerous animals, being responsible for around 150 human deaths every year, occurring usually when they feel threatened, or when we are trespassing on their territory.
