Child benefit cuts bring middle class poverty

George Osborne's plans to cut child benefit for any household where at least one person pays the higher-rate of tax doesn't sound like a move that's going to seriously damage anyone's finances. After-all these are middle class households on good wages, surly they can afford the cut...

Not according to the Child Poverty Action Group (CPAG), which says the move will throw thousands of families into financial difficulties, and bring many below the poverty line.
