A passenger plane crash landed and skidded off the runway upon landing at the Ronaldsway Airport on the Isle of Man on Thursday night.

There were 12 passengers and two crew members on board the flight from Leeds Bradford Airport, and all walked away unharmed.

The Air Accident Investigation Branch is looking into the cause of the crash but, according to the BBC, a statement on Manx2.com said: "A Jetstream 31 aircraft GCCPW operated by Links Air, on behalf of Manx2.com, suffered a problem with the right-hand undercarriage after landing."

The airport was closed for 50 minutes after the incident.

several firemen, from at least three fire engines that were parked on the runway, attended the plane after it came to rest.

According to telegraphandargus.co.uk, a spokesman from Manx2 has been reported as thanking the emergency services and saying the company was "dedicated to passenger safety".
