Diesel prices reach record high

According to research by the Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMI), the price petrol stations pay for diesel increased by nearly 4.5p per litre between December 19 and January 5.

This increase was of course passed on to the motorist in the form of an average 141p per litre price at the pumps, this hike almost reaching last Mays peak of 143p per litre.
