Germany's most reliable car is... the Porsche 911? Eh?

Germany's TUV, the German equivalent of the MOT, is a tough test. Like the MOT, you get a TUV after three years, then every other year after that. Fail it once and ihren auto goes to get fixed, fail again and you're going home on the bus. Harsh, but it keeps German roads clear of knackered cars.

It also means that in order to beat the tests and keep yourself on the road you need a reliable car. Otherwise your neighbours might think poorly of you and in Germany that's not a good thing.
