One of London's landmark buildings, the Millbank tower, was turned into a canvas for a spectacular light show this week.

Lights in surrounding buildings and streets were turned off so that Canadian DJ, deadmau5 (aka Joel Zimmerman), could play the 30-minute show to music as images were projected onto the building.

Each of the 120 metre-high building's 800 windows were covered with vinyl as 16 powerful projectors, stationed 300 metres away on the other side of the river, beamed 4D images onto the structure, making it seem like huge butterflies were flying across the London skyline and that the tower was spinning around.

The event was created to celebrate the release of the Nokia Lumia 800 smartphone in conjunction with Microsoft Windows.

Joel said: 'It's great to be able to play such an iconic landmark and to a UK crowd.'
