Fuel rise of 8p per litre will force food cutbacks

Updated

A survey by the AA has shown that the two planned fuel duty increases, which will add 8p to the price of a litre, will force families to cut back on food and household goods.

Over 16,000 AA members responded to the survey, with almost one in five saying they'd have to cut back on grocery shopping if fuel prices go up as planned in 2012.
