Dirty dozen: DVLA starts banning rude '12' plates

It's a good few months until the March '12' number plate change, but already the spoilsports at the DVLA have stated banning plates it deems offensive.

Car licence plates including PE12 VRT, DR12 UNK, DR12 UGY and MU12 DER have been pulled from sale, for fear that perverts, drunks, drug users and murderers might be tempted to splash out on an appropriate vanity plate.
