Population grows by 500,000 a year

The UK population is growing by around 500,000 every year, according to figures published by the Office for National Statistics yesterday.

You only have to look at the traffic on our roads or take a train journey to see the pressure the exploding population is having on our infrastructure – so can we afford to grow at this enormous rate?
